Abstract
Quantum mechanical spin does not correspond to rotational or orbital motion as does classical spin. Instead, it is an intrinsic property of a particle. Nonetheless, spin is a form of angular momentum and it share a set of commutation and eigenvalue equations that are analogous to other forms of angular momentum.
