Abstract

This checklist was compiled from Gordon Natural Area (GNA) Staff fieldwork during 2017-2026, augmented by the 17 identified species in Levy et al. (2008) and by photos from Gerry Hertel (former GNA Stewardship Manager), students, and visitors to the GNA. The checklist contains 489 species in 306 Genera and 129 Families. Species are organized in three 'groupings': Ascomycetes (119 species); Basidiomycetes ( 363 species); and, Zygomycetes (1 species). Note: Slime Molds (Myxomycetes) —which are frequently included in books about fungi—and Lichens (which are included in Kingdom Fungi) are cataloged in separate checklists.
