Butylone

Butylone in Gold Bromide (HAuBr₄)

Butylone forms small (15-30 μm), red rod-like prisms that grown abundantly but very slowly (~15-20 min). Once crystal formation begins, the drop can easily be overgrown with several such prisms. The distinct red crystals are bright red under crossed polars and go completely extinct upon rotation of the stage.
