Abstract
Michael A. Di Giovine presents his co-edited volume, Study Abroad and the Quest for an Anti-Tourism Experience (Lexington Books 2021) at West Chester University's April Faculty Forum. With contributions from anthropologists and social theorists, the volume examines the culture and cultural implications of student travel, and includes one of the first published analyses of COVID-19's effects on study abroad. The talk focuses on ethical considerations of study abroad - from environmental sustainability to volunteerism to engaging students in faculty-led research.
