Abstract
Part of Lexington Books' "Anthropology of Tourism: Heritage, Mobility and Society" series of Author Conversations, series editor Michael A. Di Giovine talks with Angela Demovic about her book, Bourbon Street, B-Drinking and the Sexual Economy of Tourism. This ethnography explores the concept of b-drinking, a strategy used by legal employees to illegally solicit drinks from tourists, and provides a look into the lives and empowerment strategies of these marginalized yet critical workers.
